Workforce Development Committee
The Workforce Development Committee is looking for volunteers to support its mission of fostering a broader understanding of the workforce development issues facing the North American Pulp & Paper Industry. These issues include employee selection, onboarding, training, retention, and leadership development. The committee works together communicating the scope of the various issues, acting as a forum to discuss strategies, identifying resources/experiences to share with other TAPPI members, and providing content through a variety of channels (chiefly the Workforce Development session at TAPPICon). Additionally, we act as a clearinghouse for sharing practical approaches to address each of these issues. Anyone interested in contributing to our mission and being a part of the conversation is welcome to join.
Membership Committee
This committee works to engage with members of mill and supplier companies for engagement with PIMA’s committees and content development. Volunteers in this committee will meet quarterly to strategize outreach and engagement plans that will help grow the PIMA Division.
Awards Committee
This committee is looking for volunteers to help raise the awareness of PIMA’s awards with outreach to mills and suppliers, as well as other TAPPI committees and workgroups for nominations. This committee meets quarterly and will also review and make revisions to the existing awards program for PIMA.
